Where would this country be without its resident DJs? The ones who faithfully warm those ‘floors up and down, week in, week out? It’s often said that the warm-up in particular is the most difficult and most important set of the night – but a good resident DJ should be able to get the job done at any point in the night.
Arise one Scott Bleepz, resident at Birmingham’s excellent underground house bash FACE, who you lot voted for as your Local Hero in this year’s UK Top 40 DJs Poll. An integral part of the city’s scene over the last few years, he’s been involved with many of its biggest club nights of recent times, and since last year his role at the new weekly at The Rainbow has seen his profile jump to new heights. Playing alongside everyone from Derrick Carter to Jamie Jones to Tim Green to Lee Foss, he’s played a key part in its continual success and how it’s been embraced by the local crowds.
