Some how I always end up at Face on a Saturday night, well its either that or I sit in and watch Paddy McGuiness, and sometimes I totally go all out and do both! Impressive?? Yes I think so… Ok where am I going with this??……
…. Somehow, we always end up in the smoking area at Face, its unbelievable some of the conversations that pop up when you’ve had too many Vodka and tonics…
I’ve heard some things in the smoking area, as they say “what ever happens in Face” stays in Face”, ok no one really says that… And I’ve met some very interesting people there, I know everyone wants to be in a band, and everyone wants to be creative but there are some true talents in that smoking area.. Trust me I’ve had a little gander at some of their work, and I think they deserve a little platform for their work to be showcased, so hell we are giving them one…
This is where the idea of “Face likes” came from. I’ll be posting a blog each week, which will feature some local talents; Bands, Photographers, models, fashionistas whatever you want to call them. Some pieces have been commissioned for face, with one of Birmingham’s rising photographers ( the lovely Kate Hook) whose creativity is just mind blowing… so keep checking back to see what she’s come up with.
As a little taster, a few of us went down to the Rainbow Pub, well I’ve always fancied myself as a stylist ( not really) but armed with a Power-shoulder blazer, some jewellery, a pair of dog chewed tights, and one of Brums favourite “Fun timer”.. If you’re reading this, I assure you at some point you would have met her… Anyways we created this little piece of sexiness for you all… and to make it a bit more interesting we are giving you all a chance to win Guest list spaces for you and a mate to next weeks Face event, all you have to do is guess who the girl behind the mask is…
